Ce module permet aux participants de reconnaitre, évaluer et documenter des dégâts observés couramment sur des structures en fibre et résine (FRP). Les éléments clefs sont: construction de base d’une structure en fibre, matériaux utilisés, choix d’une méthode de réparation appropriée et évaluation de la qualité d’une réparation. Cette formation est orientée sur l’industrie éolienne et la réparation de pale et vous permet d’obtenir un certificat BZEE de réparateur de pale. La formation réparations de matériaux composite vous permettra de:

• Comprendre la définition de matériaux composites ainsi que leur raison d’être.
• Pratiquer différentes méthodes de construction
• Appliquer des méthodes de fabrication sous vide.
• Effectuer des réparations sur des dégâts de structure
• Effectuer des réparations sur des défauts cosmétiques
• Etre capable d’entretenir des bords d’attaque de pale d’éolienne
• Documenter votre travail.

The module enables participants to identify, assess and document damages to basic GRP structures and also to carry out repairs according to industry standards and document the repair work. Key elements typicial fibre reinforced construction and the materials used, followed by the selection of appropriate repair measures and their reliable performance.

This training has an emphasis on wind trubine rotor blade and can even allow you to obtain a BZEE blade repair certificate.

The composites repair training will give you insight into:

• What are composites and why are they used in many industries
• Practice different building methods with composites
• Use vacuum methods for building and repair
• Practical ability to do structural repair
• Practical ability to do cosmetic repairs
• Practical ability to do Leading protection maintenance and repair
• Document your repair and give advice on maintenance and repair

La formation consiste en 5 jours de travail essentiellement pratique :

Les deux premiers jours
Après une courte présentation du formateur et des participants nous aborderons les aspects santé et sécurité du travail avec des matériaux composites et des matériaux chimique en général.
Le reste de ces deux jours consistera en une introduction aux matériaux et travail avec un moule et des matériaux sandwichs. Nous effectuerons aussi un exercice avec une mise sous vide.

Journées 3 et 4
Après avoir appris les bases le participant apprendra à effectuer des réparations sur des structures composites existantes ainsi qu’à documenter ses réparations.

Journées 5 et 6
Le participant aura l’occasion d’affiner ses connaissances sous la supervision du formateur. Pendant cette période le formateur évaluera votre niveau de connaissance.

Méthode
Au cours de cette formation le participant est central. Il vous sera demandé d’interagir le plus possible et d’expliquer votre intérêt pour les matériaux composites. Sécurité et santé seront une priorité tout au long de la formation.

Certificat
Cette formation est certifiée par epoMAT et sous certaines conditions par BZEE. La formation répond aux critères BZEE ROT-2. L’évaluation et obligatoire pour obtenir le certificat dont la durée est permanente.

The training consist of 5 days of mostly practical training :

The first 2 days
After a short introduction of the trainer and the participant we will start by introducing the health and safety aspect of composites repair as well as the risks involved with working with chemicals.

The rest of these two days will be dedicated to an introduction to composites, working with moulds and sandwich materials. We will also perform exercises using vacuum pumps and make you familiar with good working protocols.

Days 3 and 4
Now that you know the basic we will demonstrate and practise repairs on actual composite structure material. We will start with basic coating repair and move to structural damage repair

Days 5 and 6
Now you are on your own. Under supervision of the trainer and asking him advices you will perform repairs as demonstrated before. During this phase of the training the trainer will assess your competency level.

Approach
In this training, the participant is central. We want you to get involved and explain your background, interest and knowledge of compositer.
Health and safety will be a key and we want you to make as many hours as possible working yourself or in a small team on the repairs.

Certificate
This training is certified by epoMAT and under conditions BZEE and complies to their ROT-1 module.
The assessment is a requirement to obtain this certificate. The duration of the certificate is permanent.
